Kansas City Irish Fest News

Today, I am going to talk about one of the activities that happens in the Children's Area all weekend...Kansas City Irish Fest Bingo!!!!

Bingo games are played all weekend in the main children's area tent.  The games are approximately every few hours.  There will be a sign with specific times for games at Irish Fest.  The bingo cards are unique in that they are made up of pictures celebrating all things Irish.  One of my favorite things that happens during the game is that for the pictures that some might not know, the bingo callers might tell a short blurb or story detailing the history or meaning of the pictures.  For example, a picture might be of Brian Boru and the bingo caller will tell you a simple story about him.

And, the games are played until there are a few winners with Bingo.  The winners get kid's club dollars to spend on a fun Irish something at the children's area shop.

So, a little bit of games, a little bit of learning about all things Irish, and a reward for the winners.  Sounds like a fun way to take a small break (by sitting, relaxing, and playing a game) from running around and being a part of all the action at Irish Fest to me.
