Irish-Americans by the Numbers
Of employed Irish Americans over the age of 16:
40 percent work in professional, managerial, or similar occupations;
27 percent work in sales and office jobs;
16 percent work in service occupations;
9 percent work in transportation or production positions;
and 8 percent work in maintenance, construction, extraction, or repair occupations.
