Irish Symbols
Harps
The first renowned performers in Ireland were said to be harpists, who traveled around the country and in Europe, performing at festivals, celebrations, and for royal courts. Battles were also fought with a harpist playing for the warriors. The harp symbol has come to represent Irish artisans, craftsmanship, and industry, as on the Guinness logo.
