Irish Thought for March 25....

Irish-American Writers

Flannery O'Connor

Born in Savannah, Georgia, the writer Flannery O'Connor often wrote in a Southern Gothic style and relied heavily on grotesque characters and an evocative sense of place in her two novels, Wise Blood and The Violent Bear it Away, and her short story collections, A Good Man is Hard to Find and Everything That Rises Must Converge.  O'Connor's writing examined questions of morality and reflected her own Catholic faith.
