Irish Thought for September 6...

Irish-American Celebrities

Jane Curtin

The actress and comedian first gained national attention as one of the original cast members of Saturday Night Live in 1975, where her timing as the show's "straight man" was key to its success.  She was an anchor, occasionally with Dan Aykroyd or Bill Murray, on SNL's Weekend Update, too.  For her work on the sitcom Kate & Allie, Curin won back-to-back Best Lead Actress Emmys.  She was also featured in the hit sitcom 3rd Rock From the Sun.
